WORDSTATION is a superior quality provider of professional localization and translation services for the English, German, French, Spanish and Italian languages (other European languages are available upon request). Our focus is the following main subject areas for which our in-house translators are specialists:
- Finance – fund prospectuses, KIIDs, annual reports, payment systems, etc.
- Legal – articles of association, contracts, etc.
- Information Technology – software localization, hardware, documentation, marketing materials, etc.
- Medical Equipment – health imaging, medical devices, surgical devices
Large, well-known enterprises as well as medium to small companies and international translation agencies already entrust WORDSTATION with their translation and localization projects. We’d be happy to serve you as well.
Profile
WORDSTATION has been founded in 1991 by Wolfram Endemann and Frank Berger. Since both managers had a strong IT background, the company initially concentrated on software localization, including the many technical tasks required to localize a software product. Many of the leading IT brands were among its customers.
Over the years we’ve expanded our areas of expertise, adding Finance and Medical Equipment. We translate, for example, fund prospectuses and KIIDs for world-renowned investment companies – a field that requires the highest accuracy, fast throughputs and absolute discretion.
Unlike many of our competitors, we rely primarily on our own full-time, experienced in-house translators and IT specialists. We do however enjoy long-standing relationships with a small number of selected freelance translators whom we can call on for larger projects. These factors allow us to continually deliver high-quality translations – always checked using the four-eyes-principle – while maintaining consistency over time.
We work exclusively with translators who are native speakers of the target language. For target languages other than German we collaborate with partners in France, Italy, Spain and other countries.

If you’re interested in working as a freelance translator, we’d enjoy hearing from you. Please note, however, that we currently can only consider those applicants who are true experts in the area of financial products/securities, preferably German native speakers with English as their first foreign language (university degree or equivalent), and who reside in a German-speaking country.
